About this Blog

This blog started as a travel blog about Ireland – hence the name.

Originating from Germany, my family and I have our second home in Ireland. We ran our motorcycle rental and touring shop here for a few years and the blog was meant to provide our clients with lots of information about motorcycle touring on the beautiful Emerald Isle.

Meanwhile the motorcycle business is closed and I opened up the blog for really anyone with an interest in traveling Ireland, with a focus on active travelling: Biking, Hiking, Boating or just touring Ireland with any vehicle.

I think that discovering the natural beauties and the rich culture and history of a country with an interested and open mind is also a form of active traveling.

The blog has grown further since and now includes articles about the neighboring British Isles. We will continue our travels on the European continent and you can expect articles about many interesting countries and places in the months to come.
