This blog started as a travel blog about Ireland – hence the name.

Originating from Germany, my family and I have our second home in Ireland. We ran our motorcycle rental and touring shop here for a number of years and the blog was meant to provide our clients with lots of information about motorcycle touring on the beautiful Emerald Isle.

Meanwhile the motorcycle business is closed and I opened up this blog for other countries: Scotland, Wales, England and coming: Some interesting countries on the European continent.

I think that discovering the natural beauties and the rich culture and history of a country with an interested and open mind is a beautiful form of active traveling.
