Intro
But an individual golf trip to Ireland can also be simple: The Irish love package deals! That’s why there are Stay and Play Golf Packages, Stay, Play and Dine Packages and Stay, Play and Spa Packages.
In addition, some golf hotels cooperate with several golf courses in the area, so you can also get a package for a stay of several days.
So all you need is a flight, a rental car and a nice golf package deal.
You can also spend a few days in Dublin and combine that with a Stay and Play Golf Package. Then you don’t even need a rental car. If you stay in Dublin City, you can explore the city on foot. A taxi will take you to your golf resort and pick you up a few days later – it can be that simple.
To make it easier for you to get started, I’ll present a few nice offers below as examples.
By the way, we live in Ireland (second home) and know the island very well because we have travelled there many times in all directions and have also played golf. In the summer we run our motorbike rental business here, a bit south of Dublin (www.easycruiser.tours) and also offer nice guest rooms.
Now let’s look at some combined offers for your golf holiday in Ireland:
Stay and Play in and around Dublin
There are a variety of golf courses around Dublin. Some of them also have a hotel with them or are golf resorts.
Portmarnock Hotel and Golf Links
Portmarnock Golf Links is an incredibly beautiful championship golf course. As the name suggests, it is set in the dunes directly in front of the beach, to the north of Dublin. By the way, the course was designed by Bernhard Langer. The course is really breathtakingly beautiful. The hotel is also located in the dunes on the beach and has all kinds of amenities, including a spa. There are Stay and Play offers in different variations, with or without spa. See: https://www.portmarnock.com.
Killeen Castle Golf Resort
In the north-west of Dublin lies this historic castle. There is a Championship Course, the Hotel at the Castle and holiday cottages. Killeen has joined forces with several other golf clubs and also offers individual golf packages in combination. See: https://killeencastle.com/Golf_@_Killeen_Castle/Golf_Packages.
The K Club
The K Club is located west and a bit outside Dublin, but still accessible by taxi. The course is one of the top courses in Ireland and was designed by Arnold Palmer. There are even two courses in the 5-star resort. Golf&Dine, Golf&Stay, Golf&Spa – everything is possible, you can find the package deals on the homepage. See: https://www.kclub.ie/stay-and-play.

Carton House
Carton House is also located a bit outside, west of Dublin. The historic house offers two championship courses, one a parkland course and one a links course. It’s debatable whether there are any links courses off the coast, but it’s probably laid out like one…Combinations of stay and play, plus spa and various activities can be booked. See: https://www.cartonhouse.com/golf.
Stay and Play in Ireland
All over the island there are golf resorts and clubs with hotels that also offer Stay and Play packages:

Mount Wolsely Hotel, Spa and Golf Resort is located a short distance south of Dublin and offers an 18 hole championship course, a hotel and also holiday homes for longer stays.
